Best Answer:
here are a listing of side effects, if this continues you should as the doctor if there is a better prescription medician.
What are the side effects?
All medications have side-effects and the skill of prescribing is to achieve a balance between desirable and unwanted effects. Individuals vary markedly in their responses to different medications. Some of the common side-effects are:
Drowsiness: is the most common side-effect. People who are drowsy shouldn't work machinery or drive.
Dry mouth: for which we suggest people use sugarless gum to stimulate the production of saliva.
Weight gain and/or constipation: People with these problems should have a sensible, high-fibre diet and fluids combined with exercise. Body weight should be monitored. A program should be put in place to combat expected gains on some medications, such as olanzapine and clozapine.
Lowering of blood pressure: This can be experienced as dizziness or faintness. Affected people should rise slowly from a sitting or lying position and sit on the side of the bed before standing up. If symptoms persist, a medication review is necessary.
Menstrual disorders: or false positive pregnancy tests. If these side-effects persist over a period of weeks, the client should return to the prescriber for a medication review. To stop medication without supervision may lead to deterioration in the person
How is best to deal with blisters when running a marathon?… by Pa
I am running the NYC Marathon next month. Its my first marathon and my training is now getting pretty intense. I have developed a re-occuring blister on my 2nd toe as it rubs against the middle one when I run. What is the best way to firstly let this heal quickly and secondly to stop it irritating me on the race day?
Best Answer:
For fast healing,do the following:
Small, intact blisters that don't cause discomfort usually need no treatment. To protect from infection, keep the blister's own skin or roof, then cover with a small adhesive bandage.
Intact larger or painful blisters or with small tears should be drained without removing the roof. Clean the blister with rubbing alcohol or antibiotic soap and water then puncture it with a sterile pin Drain the fluid gently then apply an antibiotic ointment such as bacitracin with polymyxin B or bacitracin alone. Cover the blister with a bandage and change the dressing daily or more frequently if it becomes wet, soiled, or loose. Blisters with small tears should be treated the same as mentioned.
Blisters with larger tears should be “unroofed” carefully with fine scissors, and the base should be cleansed thoroughly with soap and water or an antibacterial cleanser. Apply antibiotic ointment and bandages as described above.
To stop irritating it to you on the race day:
Be sure to wear fit and comfortable shoes, and wear layered socks - special double-layered socks can minimize shearing forces. Socks made from polypropylene or other new synthetic socks are recomended. Use padded insoles to decrease friction in a specific area. Using foot drying agents may also help.A thin layer of petroleum jelly can also be applied to the feet to decrease friction. Applying cloth tape over the area before marathon is also a good remedy.

Best Answer:
have you tried a muscle relaxer such as zanaflex? also moist heat 3 to 4 time a day helps loosen the muscle. I get knots in my neck and back due to fibromyalgia. They get very big and hurt so much sometimes I can't move my head. I get injections of lidocaine and a steroid in the knots about every 6 weeks it is a tempory fix but helps quite a bit. It usually helps the pain for about 4 to 41/2 weeks.

Zoloft is an SSRI. All SSRIs cause some problems in the first month of treatment. They include:
nausea
drowsiness
headache
changes in weight and appetite
changes in sexual behaviour
increased feelings of depression and anxiety
tremors
increased sweating
But they will disappear after 1 month. SSRIs work differently in people. It is not able to predict which one will suit you best. You may have to try different drugs before you stick on to one.
SSRIs are:
(Trade names in parentheses)
citalopram (Celexa, Cipramil, Emocal, Sepram)
escitalopram oxalate (Lexapro, Cipralex, Esertia)
fluoxetine (Prozac, Fontex, Seromex, Seronil, Sarafem, Fluctin (EUR))
fluvoxamine maleate (Luvox, Faverin)
paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat, Aropax, Deroxat)
sertraline (Zoloft, Lustral, Serlain)
Paroxetine has more approved indications than others but Fluoxetine is the long acting one. If you are a male you must select one with a shorter halflife (paroxetine or fluvoxamine) because you will be able to take drug holidays if you develop a sexual dysfunction later. All SSRIs cause sexual dysfunction in men.
Bupropion (amfebutamone) (brand names Wellbutrin and Zyban) is a different type of antidepressant. It is safer than SSRIs and doesn't cause sexual side effects. Bupropion lowers seizure threshold but an extended release version of this drug is very safe. New studies show that Bupropion XL can be used for panic disorders.
Mirtazapine is also a safe drug without any sexual side effects that can be used for Panic Disorders. This drug may cause weight gain and it is sedative in low doses (a unique property of mirtazapine).
