What is the difference between ibuprofen, paracetamol and aspirin?… by Noodl
What is the difference between ibuprofen, paracetamol and aspirin? And what do the ladies use to fight bad headaches when its that time of the month?
Best Answer:
Paracetamol is a unique analgesic, it has no anti-inflammatory properties.
Aspirin and ibuprofen are both anti-inflammatory analgesics.
Few doctors use aspirin for pain relief now, its use is confined to its anti-platelet properties, which reduce heart attacks, strokes and other blood vessel blockages. Unfortunately the risk benefit ratio of aspirin in higher doses makes it too dangerous for general use due to the risk of inducing gastrointestinal bleeding.
A combination of ibuprofen + paracetamol is not a bad idea for period pain, provided you take the ibuprofen on a full stomach, have no ulcer history, and are not asthmatic, since ibuprofen can also cause wheeze.

Is it possible to get pregant a week after your last period?… by major's gu
me and my boyfriend had sex a day after my period before and a week after my period. and he is very fertile
Best Answer:
Okay this has NOTHING to do with him being fertile. Your body is what counts. Typically the avage woman starts the NEW cyle and the first day of your period. Meaning that is day one. So a week after most periods is day 7-14 and 13-15 are the most fertile days of the normal period. So the answer is yes. I'm assuming you didn't use protection so even if it's after you still have a chance of getting pregnant. the only safe way of not getting pregnant is not to have sex lol. (NOT MUCH FUN MIGHT I ADD) But if you are using birth control then you only have a 98 percent chance of getting pregnant. Well anyway I hope that I answered your question. I guess your next opt is to get a home pregnacy test and wait until you are supose to get your next period. Also if you are a couple days late and the test comes out negative you need to try again 7 days later if you haven't recieved your period and make a DR apt.

What are some remedies or tips for prescription painkiller withdrawals?… by brittdenise_4
My friend was prescribed percocet for a year after a bad car wreck and the doctor isn't prescribing them to her anymore. She is having withdrawals from them because she took them everyday for so long. I just need to know some tips or home remedies to give her so that she can get better faster.
Best Answer:
Clonodine is NOT Klonopin. It is the generic for Catapres, which is generally for high blood pressure. Methadone is an option, but the best option is for her to simply to talk to her doctor and get enough medication to taper down the dosage of Perocet that she takes. There is also a very popular home detox recipe called the Thomas recipe that you can find on almost any addiction and recovery message board, but it wouls still involve going to the doctor since taking a Benzodiazepine (Valium, Klonopin, etc.) is part of it. She could also see an addictionologist or a drug counselor who works with one for help.

how does eptom salt affect the growth of plants?… by Beautif
if u pour 1 spoon of etom salt in a pot of flower would it grow or would it stop growing and die?
Best Answer:
This is a great question, because although Epsom salt can be beneficial to plants, it isn't always in the way that gardeners think. Usually Epsom salts are sold as a fertilizer component or used as a tool to change soil pH.
Here's how it really affects plants:
Epsom salts contain two elements important for plant growth-magnesium and sulfur. Magnesium helps form chlorophyll in plants and is essential for photosynthesis. Magnesium is present naturally in the soil and is also found in organic fertilizers. Sulfur helps activate many plant proteins and enzymes needed for growth. It helps plants resist the cold, assists in root production and seed growth. Sulfur is often delivered to plants in the form of rainwater.
The claim is often made (at least by the folks selling it) that plants are usually deficient in these two elements. Not so. Some plants, like chrysanthemums and gardenias for example, do sometimes carry high levels of magnesium in their leaves, and can benefit from having high levels of magnesium in their soil. In the case of most plants, however, soil usually contains enough of these elements that adding Epsom salt is unnecessary.
Soils that lack magnesium tend to be acidic. Epsom salt is actually considered a neutral salt, meaning it has very little effect on a soil's pH. In cases where a soil is acidic, it's better to add dolomitic lime if you want to increase the pH. IF it turns out that the soil is deficient in magnesium but the pH is fine, THEN it's better to add Epsom salt to increase the magnesium levels because adding it will not alter the pH.
Epsom salts are a good way to deliver sulfur and magnesium to plants. If your plant is low in either of these nutrients, adding Epsom salt can be beneficial. In most cases, however, low magnesium goes hand in hand with soil acidity. In these cases dolomitic lime is more appropriate than Epsom salts as a way to add magnesium, while raising soil pH.
It's best to test your soil before adding Epsom salts or you may end up wasting your time, or even making things worse.

.Sounds like you are suffering from a migraine headache. A migraine headache is a form of vascular headache. Migraine headache is caused by a combination of vasodilatation (enlargement of blood vessels) and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around the blood vessels. During a migraine attack, the temporal artery enlarges. (The temporal artery is an artery that lies on the outside ofthe skull just under the skin of the temple.) Enlargement of the temporalartery stretches the nerves that coil around the artery and causes the nervesto release chemicals. The chemicals cause inflammation, pain, and further enlargement of the artery. The increasing enlargement of the artery magnifies the pain. I too suffer from migraines and I use Fioricet to help the ease and manage the pain. Fioricet is a barbiturate sedative mixed with a non-aspirin pain medication and caffeine. This non-narcotic pain medication and relaxant is often prescribed for tension headaches caused by contractions of the muscles in the neck and shoulder area, and migraine headaches. I buy Fioricet Online with NO Prescription at PainMedicationRx.Com. US licensed 24/7 online pharmacy. FAST Overnight Fedex shipping and a FREE Rx on all orders. i hope this information helps Dear.

What is the difference between Lamital and Depakote for treating bipolar disorder? Which works better for you?… by Phill
I'm thinking about switching from Lamictal to Depakote for my bipolar disorder. Has anyone tried both? Which works better?
Best Answer:
I'm BP too. From everything I've read, it really just depends on your body chemistry.
Some people love Lamictal, some hate it. Same with depakote.
Personally, I think you should keep trying to find that “magic cocktail”.
I've been successfully medicated for about 4 months now. I take Symbyax (which is insanely expensive) and haven't felt this good in over a decade.
(Symbyax is Prozac and Zyprexa and they make it in a variety of combinations so it's easy to “tweak” dosages until you find the right combo.)
If you're not happy with the Lamictal, then definitely look for an alternative.

What is the best oral product to stop/inhibit/slow down hair regrowth on the body? Thank you?… by Mar
Could be from your experience. I've heard of a few on the market and want to do research before I choose one. I know this is a serious thing to take and I want to be safe and make the right choice. Think one is called Tagamet. See I'm not familair and don't know where to start looking. So I decided with this; yahoo answers. Tell me about side effects e.t.c.
Best Answer:
There are two prescriptions I've taken, Eulexin (generic name: flutamide) and spironolactone. They've both worked well. A suggestion I recently had was to eat a yam a day to slow down hair growth.
